LG전자가 세계 최초로 출시한 곡면 올레드TV가 해외에서 호평을 얻고 있다.
LG전자는 20일 프랑스 유력 온라인 IT 매체인 '레 뉘메리크(Les Numeriques)'가 LG 곡면 올레드 TV의 화질, 균일도, 3D, 사용편의성, 사운드 등을 높이 평가하고 최고점인 별 다섯개를 부여했다고 밝혔다.
이 매체는 "화질은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 놀랍다", "완벽한 블랙을 표현하는 무한대의 명암비가 실현됐다" 등 표현으로 극찬했으며 넓은 시야각, 잔상 없는 3D 이미지, 빠른 응답속도 등도 호평했다고 LG전자는 덧붙였다.
IT관련 유명 매체인 '씨넷(Cnet)' 호주판은 LG 곡면 올레드 TV 리뷰를 통해 색 재현력, 명암비, 휘도 등 화질 항목뿐 아니라 음질, 디자인 등이 향상됐다고 평가했으며, 미국의 IT 전문매체인 '기즈모도(Gizmodo)'는 기존에 볼 수 없었던 명암비와 매직리모컨의 사용편의성 등에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 아끼지 않았다.
미국의 유력 디스플레이 전문 평가기관인 '디스플레이 메이트(Dipslay Mate)'는 시야각, 색 재현력, 휘도, 소비전력 등의 우수성에 대해 상세히 설명했다고 LG전자는 전했다.
LG전자 TV사업부장 이인규 상무는 "LG 올레드 TV는 세계 최초이자 최고의 제품으로 그 진가를 인정받고 있다"며 "꿈의 화질을 구현한 올레드 TV로 차세대 디스플레이 시장을 선도할 것"이라고 말했다. (연합뉴스)

LG OLED TV praised by U.S. group
LG Electronics‘ curved OLED TV received favorable reviews from a U.S. display expert group for its high image quality and usability.
DisplayMate, a display evaluation group, praised the world‘s first OLED TV for the improved quality in 3-D pictures and sound that far surpass existing TVs’ capabilities in playing IMAX 3-D movies.
The group said it found the OLED TV was beyond compare in producing “excellent dark image content” because the concave screen shape “eliminated reflections from lighting on the sides” after a series of extensive lab tests.
Experts from DisplayMate said the new curved OLED TV showed a high level of technology with “wide viewing angles, fast response time without motion blur, infinite contrast ratios and near-to-perfect calibration.”
Despite outstanding performance of the South Korean electronic giant’s TV, DisplayMate pointed out that its production must still bring its pricing down to an affordable level for the TV to come into wide use.
“LG’s curved OLED TV is being recognized for its true value as the world’s first and best. The television will take the lead in the next-generation display market,“ said Lee In-kyu, head of the TV division at LG Electronics.
