The South Korean national soccer team lost on home soil Wednesday night against Tunisia 1-0, in its last international home friendly before the World Cup.

Korea held possession for most of the first half, but midfielder Zouhaier Dhaouadi scored in the 44th minute with the only goal of the match.

Although coach Hong Myung-bo said the team would play carefully so as to prevent injuries before the tournament, defender Hong Jeong-ho went off with an ankle injury in the 58th minute.

Korea is set to play in Group H in the Brazil World Cup against Russia, Algeria and Belgium from June 16.

The South Korean side leaves on Friday morning for a training camp in Miami, where it will face off against Ghana of Group G on June 9 before heading to Brazil on June 10.
