Samsung Electronics’ 65-inch curved Ultrahigh-definition televisions appeared to have gained favorable feedback from British reviewers, the local tech giant said, citing several London-based reviews.
The tech giant’s flagship curved TV was selected as the “editor’s choice” by Trust Review, which cited the model’s unique feature of upscaling standard definition content to fit the UHD screen.
“It’s worth adding here that Samsung has introduced a new depth enhancement processing system designed to make our ‘flat’ source images better suited to the curved screen environment,” Trusted Review said.
“The screen makes those benefits easier for multiple users to enjoy thanks to the larger viewing sweet spot,” it added, giving the highest score of 10 on the model.
Another British tech reviewer, AV Forums, awarded the model a “Highly Recommended” title.
“There’s no denying that the HU8500 (the 65-inch curved model) is another triumph of industrial design from Samsung, with a striking and highly attractive appearance,” the reviewer said. “The 3-D performance was also excellent, with bright and detailed images that were completely free of crosstalk, resulting in an immersive and enjoyable experience,” it added.
Global tech giants have been competing intensely in the UHD TV sector, one of the highly anticipated areas of the world’s electronics industry this year.
