Samsung Electronics’ top executives from around the world will gather in Korea next month to participate in meetings to discuss next year’s business strategies, company officials said on Tuesday.
“The executives will look back on the achievements made in the latter half of this year and discuss business strategies (for) next year,” a Samsung official said.
Around 600 executives from business units at home and abroad will attend the meetings at Samsung’s business sites in Suwon and Giheung, both in Gyeonggi Province.
Samsung’s device solutions division and Samsung Display will hold four-day meetings from Dec. 17, and the meetings of the consumer electronics division and IT and mobile communications division will take place from Dec. 18 to 20, according to the official.
The meetings for the device solutions division and Samsung Display will be attended by the electronics firm’s vice chairman, Kwon Oh-hyun, and Kim Ki-nam, president of the display company.
Yoon Boo-keun, president and CEO of Samsung’s consumer electronics, and Shin Jong-kyun, president of the IT and mobile communications business unit, will take part in the Dec. 18-20 meetings.
The participants are also expected to discuss the results of the managerial meeting held late last month.
The meetings will likely cover a wide array of subjects ranging from wearable smart gadgets, smart home systems, new business growth engines including medical equipment, to B2B products.
