Student linguists are interviewing 20 international ambassadors in Seoul in their native language to quiz them on multiculturalism.
More than 1,300 people applied to be part of the JOINUS KOREA project to interview the ambassadors. Of those, 43 interviewers were selected offering their skills in 20 languages. Interviews have already been held with the Polish, Malaysian, German, Turkish, Swedish, Sri Lankan, Italian and Vietnamese ambassadors.
The foreign envoys’ views are being recorded and distributed through social networking sites.
Malaysian Ambassador Dato Ramlan Ibrahim said: “Korea is an example to many developing countries, (and should be) proud of remarkable economic growth.”
Interviews are also soon to be held with the Spanish, British, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Thai and Indonesian envoys here.
