Seoul to hold meeting with African, Muslim residents

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will host a meeting with Muslim expats and African residents in the city at the Itaewon Global Village Center on Friday.

Over 387,000 foreign nationals were living in Seoul as of March, making up more than 3.8 percent of the city’s population.

Seoul City has hosted town hall meetings with the mayor each year designed to let expats air their grievances and make suggestions on improving life in the city.

This will be a smaller scale meeting dedicated to Muslim and African residents, although it is open to all nationalities and backgrounds.

Those who wish to attend the event should register by contacting itaewongvc@yongsan.go.kr or calling (02) 2199-8883.
