Gwangju International Center will be running a GIC culture tour to Haenam on the south coast this month.
The area is famous for dinosaur fossils and in particular for fossilized footprints, and the first stop on the tour will be to Uhangri Dinosaur Museum.
The group will stop for a “chicken course” lunch featuring fresh sushi, grilled marinated chicken, boiled chicken and chicken porridge, followed by a visit to the house of Yun Seon-do, a Joseon-era scholar and master of the “sijo” form of classical poetry.
The last stop on the trip will be a ride on the cable car at Duryunsan Provincial Park.
The tour runs on March 28 and leaves at 8:30 a.m. The cost of participation is 50,000 won for GIC members, 60,000 won for nonmembers and 30,000 won for preschoolers, including insurance, transport, lunch and entrance fees.
