A two-volume photo book series featuring Korean culture and scenery has been published by local publishing house Design SOOMOKWON and the Korea Tourism Organization.
A total of 31 photographers participated in the project. The series has four different categories: tradition, nature, city and countryside.
The first volume of the series, titled “View of Korea,” features photographs of Korea’s palaces, including Changdeokgug and Deoksugung palaces in Seoul, as well as famous Buddhist temples such as Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju and Haeinsa Temple in Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang Province.
The volume also includes stunning photographs of Korea’s natural hotspots, including Hallasan National Park on Jeju Island and Suncheonman Bay in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province.
The second volume, “Story of Korea,” includes photographs of the night view of Seoul and its Hangang River, a tea ceremony, a templestay and Korea’s iconic kimchi and ginseng fields.
The volume also offers photographs of the DMZ and the rocky islets of Dokdo in the East Sea.
Both volumes are written in Korean and English.
