K-pop rookie girl group Bambino’s virtual reality video -- which provides a 360 degree rotating view of the members dancing -- went viral online.
In the VR video, released June 21, the four members dance to their debut single “Oppa Oppa,” while the 360-degree VR camera goes around in the center to capture all directions.
The viewers can scroll around the video by using their mouse on the web or simply move around their gadgets to watch on smartphone. This video was made possible thanks to 360-degree cameras and YouTube, which has supported 360-degree content since March.
The two-minute video has garnered almost 400,000 views on YouTube and thousands of comments since it was uploaded.
“This is just so cool, it is definitely a good idea to promote the group and the song is surprisingly catchy,” said one of the viewers.
Another viewer said “Thank you, technology.”
Bambino -- composed of Eun-sol, Ha-dam, Min-hee and Da-hee -- made its debut earlier this summer with single “Oppa Oppa.”
