길이가 최대 18미터에 달할 것으로 보이는 상어가 심해에서 포착돼 화제다.
외신에 따르면, 이 상어는 일본연구팀이 마리아나 해구에 설치한 카메라에 포착되었다고 한다.

영상에 잡힌 상어의 길이가 18미터에 달한다는 내용이 인터넷을 통해 퍼지면서 일부 해외 네티즌들은 수백 만년 전 멸종한 메갈로돈이 살아있다고 주장하고 있다.
하지만, 외신은 이 상어가 메갈로돈일 가능성은 전혀 없고, 심해에 서식하는 대형상어일 것이라고 전했다.
