BHI (083650) has acquired 186,427 shares of Smart Power for 279 million won (US$0.24 million), it announced on June 24. This amounts to 0.31 percent of its equity capital. To further secure its footing in small to medium-sized nuclear reactor business, BHI bought the newly issued stocks offered for capital increase with cash and its stake increased to 18.58 percent. Smart Power is an SPC sponsored by Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to lead the industrialization of “smart” nuclear reactors.
