Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance (000060) reported on June 30 that in May it posted sales of 497 billion won, with 36.3 billion (US$31.3 million) in operating profit and 26 billion won net profit. The monthly sales was a 9.8 percent increase from the same period last year but the profits decreased by 6 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively.
