Woori Bank (000030) announced on July 19 that its operating profit for the second quarter spiked 65.78 percent to 949.1 billion won (US$835.48 million) from the same period last year. Its revenue increased 30.59 percent to 12.24 trillion won and the net profit increased 43.3 percent to 757.79 billion won on-year.
