CJ E&M’s multi-channel network DIA TV has set its sight on European and North American video websites, the firm announced July 25.
Its 100 “partner creators” have opened channels on Dailymotion, a leading European online video site that attracts 300 million users a month. Owned by French media and content group Vivendi, it offers a variety of videos from sports, music, comedy and fashion shows to live-streaming gaming.
Specializing in personal media and individual contents development, DIA TV will support 100 established creators including Sunny Channel, Sweet Dummy and Dave, settle on the platform of the European rival of YouTube, and tackle European and North American markets.
To further strengthen its contents, the ever-expanding media content affiliate of CJ, has partnered earlier this month with VIKI that has drawn attention in North America with its specialty in Korean and Asian culture.
“In addition to creating jobs on their own, partner creators will serve as cultural emissaries who will promote Korean Wave in international markets,” said Lee Seong-hak head of CJ E&M’s media solution section.
