KT (030200) announced on July 29 that its operating profit in the second quarter rose 15.8 percent to 426.95 billion won (US$379.51 million) from the same period last year. Its sales came in at 5.68 billion won, up 4.5 percent on-year while net profit fell 20.7 percent to 255.25 billion won.
