Daewoo E&C (047040) announced on July 29 that its operating profit in the second quarter rose 14.4 percent to 105.7 billion won (US$93.96 million) from the same period last year. Its sales came in at 2.99 trillion won, up 19 percent on-year while net profit dropped 48.5 percent to 43.1 billion won.
