‘Comfort women’ film screening in Seoul

A free screening of “My Heart is Not Broken Yet” is to be held in Seoul on April 29. The film about Japanese-Korean woman Song Shin-do’s ongoing fight for justice as a former “comfort woman” will be shown at Seoul Women’s Plaza. The Korean-language film will be screened with English subtitles at the event to run from 3-6 p.m. The venue is near Daebang Subway Station Exit 3. The 2009 film tells of Song’s fight for justice for women like her who were drafted into sexual slavery for Japanese troops

Badminton star Lee Yong-dae is auctioning a signed T-shirt online for charity. The T-shirt is being auctioned on eBay to raise money for SOLIBAD. Participants are set to walk 10 kilometers in cities across Korea to raise awareness of international natural disasters. Mannam Volunteer Association is to hold the “10 km in Their Shoes” walks around the country on April 14.
