OLD TRAM TRACK -- A tram track used during the Japanese colonial period (1910-45) was discovered between September and October last year at the excavation site of Woldae, an elevated stage for royal ceremonies in front of Gwanghwamun, Gyeongbokgung's main gate. The tram was in service from 1917 to 1966, and ran on a Y-shaped train track on what is today's Sejong-ro, and connected Anguk-dong and Hyoja-dong via Woldae.

Alpha Motor Corporation, a US electric vehicle developer, will make its debut at the upcoming Seoul Mobility Show, which runs from March 30 to April 9 at Kintex in Gyeonggi Province, the event organizers said Tuesday. SK Telecom said Tuesday that it has teamed up with Neubility, a delivery robot developer, and SK Shieldus, a security services firm, to develop artificial intelligence-based self-driving patrol robots. The telecom giant said the robots are equipped with camera-based solutions instead of high-priced LiDAR sensors. South Korean shipping company HMM's containers wait for shipment at a Busan port on Friday to deliver relief goods for victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
