국내 체류하는 외국인 증가에 따라 외국인 마약사범도 눈에 띄게 늘어나는 것으로 나타났다.경찰청은 올 5∼10월 6개월간 전국적으로 마약류 사범 집중단속을 벌여 4천480명을 검거하고, 이 가운데 1천54명을 구속했다고 17일 밝혔다.경찰은 이 기간 기존 마약수사 전담인력 외에 전국에 마약 담당 형사를 추가 지정하고, 국제범죄·사이버수사 인력 등을 총동원한 단속에 나섰다.
