Lee Seung-gi undecided about returning to ‘You’re All Surrounded’

Lee Seung-gi’s agency said on Thursday it will observe the healing progress of the actor’s eye injury over the weekend before deciding whether he can return to SBS cop series “You’re All Surrounded.”

The announcement came three days after Lee, 27, was poked in his left eye by a fake sword while filming an action scene on June 9 and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. He was found to have corneal damage and an intraocular hemorrhage.

“Lee is currently resting,” Lee’s agency Hook Entertainment stated. “The doctor gave another 3-4 days to see how it goes. We will check on his condition over the weekend and decide if he can resume acting in ‘You’re All Surrounded.’”

Following the accident, broadcaster SBS substituted Wednesday’s 10th episode with a special film due to Lee’s absence.

The agency then issued an apology from Lee on Wednesday for the confusion.
