Psy’s “Hangover” teaser reaches 1 million views

The teaser video for viral sensation Psy’s latest single, “Hangover,” has surpassed one million views just two days after the sneak peek was posted on YouTube.

The video was watched 1,194,546 times as of 1 p.m. Korean time on June 8.

The 10-second video clip offers a quick glimpse into the long-awaited song that has a heavy bass line with an auto-tuned Snoop Dogg repeating the song’s title “Hangover.”

The video, filmed in Korea, features the world-famous hip-hop artists taking a bath in a public fountain, playing pool, drinking soju and partying at karaoke.

“Hangover,” dubbed a “party anthem” by Psy’s Korean label YG Entertainment, will be unveiled on June 8 during the special primetime airing of U.S. talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following the NBA finals.

Both Psy and Snoop Dogg will appear on the episode to debut the new track. The full video will then be posted on Psy’s YouTube channel and the show’s website.

The song will be available as a digital download the following day through iTunes.

Psy’s rollout plan comes just after his signature song “Gangnam Style” became the first music video to clear the two billion views mark on YouTube. His follow-up “Gentleman” is expected to break 700 million views at any time.

Psy is to release his new album including the song “Hangover” this summer.
