Former Paju mayor to lead Kyung-in Women’s College

Former mayor of Paju City Ryoo Hwa-sun was recently appointed as the seventh president of Kyung-in Women’s College, the school said.

He will take office Monday for a three-year term.

Ryoo graduated from the department of sociology at Seoul National University, and worked as managing editor of The Korea Economic Daily and chief executive of WOW-TV, a unit of The Korea Economic Daily Media Group. He served as the fourth and fifth elected mayor of the suburban city north of Seoul in Gyeonggi Province.
