The 2012 Korea Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages International Conference will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul.
The conference includes lectures, workshops and seminars on teaching methods and research, as well as KOTESOL’s annual business meeting, where the organization will elect its national council.
Plenary sessions will be given by Mike Levy, professor at the Brisbane Universities Language Alliance and Glenn Stockwell, professor at Waseda University, Tokyo, on the use of mobile devices in language learning; Brock Brady, programming and training education specialist for the U.S. Peace Corps on developing communities that foster professional development; and associate professor of English language studies at the New School in New York Scott Thornbury on a new approach to methodology.
Attendance of the conference costs 50,000 won for members, 75,000 won for non-members and 30,000 won for undergraduates. Registration on the day opens at 8 a.m. and only cash is accepted.
