FT Island is embarking on an Asia tour, “2024 FT Island Live ‘Hey Day’ in Asia,” this month to meet with its fans abroad.
The band’s first stop is Macao on Jan. 27, followed by Bangkok on Feb. 3, Taipei on Feb. 18, Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 24, Hong Kong on March 2, Jakarta on March 16 and Singapore on March 22, according to FNC Entertainment.
Tickets to the shows in Taipei and Kuala Lumpur are already sold out.
FT Island is preparing a setlist that includes a solo drum performance of its drummer, Choi Min-hwan, the agency said.
The Asian tour comes less than a month after the band held its concert, “FTSODE” in Seoul, Dec. 30-31.
“We will do our best to hold concerts every year," Lee Hong-gi of FT Island said during the concert. He also said the band will release an album in Japan this year and release YouTube content.
Their latest album is their ninth EP, "Sage," released in September last year.
FT Island, formed by FNC Entertainment, debuted in 2007 as a five-member band.
The band currently consists of three members -- main vocalist Lee Hong-gi, bassist Lee Jae-jin and drummer Choi Min-hwan.
Former guitarist in the band Song Seung-hyun left the band in 2019 to pursue his acting career, while former leader of the band Choi Jong-hoon was kicked out of the band in 2020 for committing a sex crime.
