The ceremony -- conducted by Asiana crew members -- took place in Hanoi, inviting some 72 graduating students who took courses in job-related curriculum such as Korean, English and accounting, as well as classes like image making and business etiquette.

Beautiful Classroom is one of the airliner’s CSR programs. It supports the education of low-income women in developing countries. It is designed to help participants land jobs after graduation.

Asiana has been running the program jointly with the Korea International Cooperation Agency and GoodPeople, a nonprofit organization since 2015.

Some 500 students have graduated so far. Of them, 208 women have landed jobs at Korean companies in Vietnam, elementary schools, supermarkets and health centers.

“We are proud that Vietnamese women graduated from our Beautiful Classroom program, making it a precious foundation for their future,” said Ahn Byeong-seok, head of Asiana Airlines’ business management division.
