Busan Foundation for International Activities is providing 10 weeks of free Korean classes from July 16 to Sept. 21.
Classes are in six levels from pre-beginner to advanced. Each class is limited to 25 people and is only offered to adults. The classes are offered at various times between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Busan Global Center and Social Service Center of Dong-Seo University.
Tuition is free, except for a 10,000 won deposit that is refunded on the last week to students who attend at least 70 percent of classes. Students must also pay for textbooks.
Registration is open until July 12 at http://www.busanlife.or.kr. For more information, contact (051) 668-7906 or email busanglobalcenter@gmail.com.
The center’s free phone counseling service to foreign residents has changed its operating hours to 9-6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The change means that information service in all six languages ― Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Russian ― will be available on all days, rather than the previous six-day schedule with one language off on each day.
Those who wish to use the service can call 1577-7716.
