An annual global culture festival will be held in Itaewon, central
Some 30 foreign embassies and thousands of residents and merchants are expected to participate at the festival which will feature various art and cultural performances, the Yongsan-gu district office said.
On Oct. 12, world cultural performances with folk dances and music of various countries will be staged near Noksapyeong Station. Exotic cuisines will be sold in street booths starting at 6 p.m. On Saturday, a street parade with 900 participants from 25 multinational teams will take place. On Sunday, rock band Crying Nut, Biuret and jazz pianist Gina will perform.
Participants and tourists can also enjoy traditional Korean culture by experiencing traditional handcrafts and watching taekwondo demonstrations, related officials noted.
