U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg in S. Korea to film Psy's new music video

U.S. hip-hop star Snoop Dogg is staying in South Korea for the filming of South Korean rapper Psy's new music video, the latter's local management agency said Wednesday.

The filming began in the western port city of Incheon on Tuesday and is likely to continue for two or three days, YG Entertainment said.

"Snoop Dogg is shooting the music video in Incheon after entering the country recently," a company official said. "The date of his departure has yet to be fixed."

The American rapper also collaborated on the new song expected to be released as early as February, according to the agency.

Snoop Dogg gained fame for his work on "The Chronic," released by renowned American producer Dr. Dre in 1992. He became a rap fixture after his debut album "Doggystyle" topped the Billboard 200 chart the following year. He has sold some 170 million albums in total. (Yonhap News)
