Psy scores yet another Guinness World Record

Korean rapper Psy continues to ride his invisible horse in the fast lane, setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest mass horse-riding dance.

Psy’s large-scale outdoor concert at Seoul City Hall last year was given the title “Largest Gangnam Style Dance” by the London-based organization on May 24, the Korea Record Institute announced on Tuesday.

The free concert that celebrated the singer’s shot to international stardom attracted some 100,000 enthusiastic fans who joined in a mass performance of the famous horse-riding dance.

“We’ll receive an official certificate soon after the GWR approves video clips, photos and a log book we’ve submitted additionally,” a KRI official told The Korea Herald.

The singer already has four other Guinness records under his belt, including being the most watched and most “liked” video on YouTube. Psy’s music videos “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” received Guinness World Records for becoming the first video to receive 1 billion views and the most viewed video online within 24 hours of release, respectively.
