Several popular Korean reality televisions programs have been showcased in Cannes, France, as part of the 50th annual MIPTV (March International des Programmes de Tlvision ) conference.
Korea Creative Content Agency said that KBS’ “Immortal Song,” MBC’s “I am a Singer,” SBS’ “Running Man” and tvN’s “Super Diva” were featured in the “Catch Korea’s Top-notch Format” showcase event on Saturday.
“I am a Singer” producer Kim Young-hee along with “Immortal Song” producer Son Ga-young personally introduced their programs at the global TV forum in front of nearly 150 international experts. These representative Korean programs were introduced in the hope of sparking interest among international buyers to make the local formats global. The showcase was held one day before this year’s four-day MIPTV conference slated for April 8-11.
The MIPTV is a TV market and tradeshow forum that annually attracts more than 10,000 participants from some 100 countries.
