K-pop Give Concert to help disabled

This year’s second K-pop Give Concert will once again gather together K-pop stars to host a charity concert event to help raise money for people with disabilities.

The first Give Concert in July showcased some of the rising stars in the entertainment industry, Infinite and Brave Girls. To continue the success of the charitable donations received this summer, K-pop stars CNBLUE, Hello Venus and former V.O.S leader Park Ji-Hun will be performing in the second wave charity concert.

The proceeds for this concert will be donated to various non-profit organizations that provide assistance to people with disabilities.

CNBLUE rose from the indie band scene to superstardom with their chart-topping single, “I Am a Loner.” The band recently held its first arena tour in Japan and drew in 100,000 fans to their concerts.

Hello Venus is an up-and-coming six-member pop girl group who debuted this year. The girls released their first EP album in May, titled “Venus,” and are currently scheduled to make a second EP soon.

Park Ji-heon will be making a much-anticipated return to the stage after leaving the vocal ballad trio V.O.S in 2010. He first debuted in the group in 2004 but left due to contractual issues. In 2007, he released his first solo record titled “Button.”

The event will be held on Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium and is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization.
