Worldwide hit-song “Gangnam Style’s” singer Psy postponed his U.S. single release date.

The “international star’s” new song was originally scheduled to be released this month, but the date has been pushed back due to major changes made in his promotional schedule as well as the song.

Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO of the YG Entertainment which is responsible for Psy promotion in Korea and Japan, claimed that Psy and his producer Scooter Braun finished making the song though it will not be released until next year.

“I had an opportunity to listen to Psy’s new song that will be released in the U.S. and it was really good,” said Yang with an interview with a local daily on Wednesday, adding “This is my personal opinion, but I think it will be as good as ‘Gangnam Style.’”

The popularity of “Gangnam Style” enabled Psy to lengthen his promotion and the heat will not die out any time soon, Yang noted. Since his upcoming engagements take place mostly in November and December, fans will be able to see him with his signature horse-riding dance at least until the end of this year.

While the 34-year-old Korean rapper said in a recent interview with CNN that his new song will be a mix of the Korean and English languages, Yang said that there will be changes in the bilingual lyrics as well.

Yang also added that at the time of signing a contract with Psy, Braun did not expect “Gangnam Style” to become such a hit so quickly.

“Scooter Braun saw Psy receiving an international recognition in November and he was surprised when the song went sensational all over the world at an unbelievable speed, faster than he expected,” added Yang.

Psy, now one of the most internationally recognized stars in the world, left Korea on Oct. 19 and has been actively engaged in the U.S. and overseas promotion. Since his promotions will continue through the end of this year, Psy will not be attending year-end music programs for the three main broadcasters in Korea.

Meanwhile, on Halloween day, Gangnam Style officially surpassed 600 million views on YouTube in just 109 days after its release. Psy’s worldwide mega hit sits in third place as the most-watched video in YouTube history.

Justin Bieber’s “Baby” currently stands in first place as the most-watched YouTube video with 790 million views and Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor” sits in second place with 614 million views followed by “Gangnam Style” with 605 million views, making it less than 10 million views away from becoming the second most-watched video in the site’s history.

“Gangnam Style” will for the sixth consecutive week remain at the No. 2 spot on the U.S. Billboard charts with Maroon 5 still sitting comfortably at the top spot.

Psy has returned to America after performing at the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 launch party held in Toronto on Tuesday. He went to New York the following day for a birthday bash for Scott Sartiano, an American restaurateur, at The Darby where he performed his hit song on stage.

Many famous artists including Pink, Lionel Richie, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift have performed at The Darby.
