Gadhafi’s secret security: Mighty female “Amazonian Guards”

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi reportedly had a special taste for body guards by preferring only virgin females, the U.S. based online news Mediaite reported.

Gaddafi, now effectively ousted, had a selected elite force in charge of his security. Those adequate to take the responsibility must be “virgins hand-picked by Gaddafi,” according to the news.

The candidates had to make oath that they would sacrifice themselves for Gadhafi and were required to remain virgins throughout their duty. Despite strict doctrines, the job was popular among Libyan women, Blitz reported.
They also had to go through marital arts and firearms training before actually being dispatched.

Amid speculation that the force’s duties included “sexual favors,” Gadhafi claimed that the system “empowers” women, making them strong enough to protect themselves from enemies, Mediaite added.
