에일리 그래미 시상식 참여한다

솔로 가수 에일리는 오는 10일 미국 LA 스테이플스 센터에서 열리는 제 55회 그래미상 시상식에 VIP 자격으로 참석한다. 에일리의 소속사 YMC 엔터테인먼트는 “에일리는 그래미 어워즈 주최 측의 초청을 받아 VIP 자격으로 이번 행사에 참석할 예정이다.”라고 밝혔다.

이 날 에일리는 미국의 유명 음악 프로듀서, 토니 마세라티와 함께 레드카펫을 밟고 그래미 시상식장에 입장할 예정이다. 마세라티는 올해 제이슨 므라즈 (Jason Mraz)의 앨범 "Love is a Four Letter Word."를 프로듀싱 해, ‘베스트 엔지니어드 앨범, 논-클래시컬 (Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical) 부문 후보에 올랐다.

마세라티는 레이디가가, 비욘세, 크리스티나 아길레라, 브랙아이드피즈 등과 음악 작업을 같이한 세계적인 음악 엔지니어이자 프로듀서다.

에일리는 본 시상식에 앞서 다음 달 7일 로스앤젤레스 이스트웨스트 스튜디오, 할리우드에서 열리는 ‘프리 그래미 파티’에 참석할 예정이다. 이 행사는 미국 현지에서 운영하는 엠넷 아메리카가 주최할 것으로, 미국 엔터테인먼트 업계, 특히 음악 쪽에서의 아시아인들의 활약을 기념할 예정이다. 이날 행사에서는 역대 그래미상 수상자와 올해 수상 후보 등 각계 유명 인사들이 대거 참여할 것이다.

이어 에일리는 이날 ‘엠넷 아메리카 라이징 스타 (Rising Star)’ 상도 받는다. 엠넷 아메리카 측은 ‘에일리는 2012 한 해 동안 눈부신 활약을 펼쳤고, 주목 받는 신인 K팝 스타’라고 선정 이유를 밝혔다.

Ailee to attend Grammy Awards

Singer Ailee will be attending the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony at Los Angeles Staples Center on Feb. 10.

“Ailee was invited by the Grammy Awards Committee to participate in the VIP premiere of the Grammy Awards,” said YMC Entertainment.

The starlet will walk the red carpet with producer Tony Maserati, who is nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Jason Mraz’s album “Love is a Four Letter Word.”

Maserati has also worked with many other artists including Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and the Black Eyed Peas.

The K-pop singer will also be attending a pre-Grammy party at East West Studios, Hollywood, on Feb. 7. Mnet America is hosting a pre-Grammy party for the first time this year. With the celebration focused on Asian-American influence on entertainment, the party will host Asian-American stars as well as Grammy-winning and nominated celebrities.

Ailee will receive the Mnet America Rising Star Award at the event.

“Ailee made a big hit in the K-pop music scene in year 2012. She is an obvious choice to receive the Mnet America Rising Star Award,” announced Mnet America.

Since debuting in early 2012, the female soloist has racked up two huge solo hits on the charts with “Heaven” and “I’ll Show You.”
