Gastech 2014 to feature LNG technology

Gastech, a major conference and exhibition on natural gas, plans to host a series of seminars in March to share technological innovations in the gas industry, the conference organizers said Monday.

Natural gas liquefaction is expected to top the conference agenda. As the world’s second-largest importer of liquefied natural gas, Korea has paid much attention to the issue of gas liquefaction, including rising costs and other challenges.

“Gastech is definitely an important date in our calendars and has become an invaluable opportunity to meet with clients and suppliers from around the globe. Put simply, having the global gas industry under one roof is hugely helpful and often results in great opportunities,” said Inga Bettina Waldmann, a manager of business development for KANFA Aragon who will be speaking at the convention.

The seminar will also feature discussions on new developments in cryogenic technology, an important component of the liquefaction process, and whether floating LNG projects can help lower costs.

Leaders from renowned companies and associations of the gas industry and liquefaction technology have been invited to speak at the seminar, according to the event’s promoters.
