An arrest warrant is being sought for a well-known muckraking journalist accused of spreading false information that a younger brother of President Park Geun-hye was involved in a murder case, prosecution officials said Friday.
Joo Jin-woo, a reporter of the monthly news magazine Sisa Journal, has been questioned by prosecutors for reporting that the president’s younger brother, Park Ji-man, was behind the deaths of two of his relatives.
In September 2011, police found the body of a nephew of the first family at a trekking path near Mount Bukhan in northern Seoul. Just 3 kilometers from the scene, another nephew of the Park family was found dead in a parking lot. (Yonhap News)
