Mercedes-Benz Korea, the local unit of the luxury car division of Daimler AG, has introduced the second-generation of its passenger vehicle, the CLS 63 AMG, in Korea.
The new CLS 63 AMG comes with a new V8 5.5-liter biturbo engine that is smaller than the 6.2-liter engine in the previous version, but generates more horsepower and torque while consuming less gasoline.

The new engine produces a maximum horsepower of 525, compared with 514 produced by the engine in the older version, and has a fuel economy of 8.2 kilometer per liter on average, a 34 percent improvement from the previous version, the company said in a press release.
The vehicle has a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour and a zero to 100 kilometers per hour acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.
The local price of the new CLS 63 AMG has been set at 154.5 million won ($143,400), including value-added tax.
