Shake Shack was established in 2001 by celebrity restauranteur Danny Meyer, starting as a hot dog cart in New York’s Madison Square Park, and has grown to be an international franchise available in Japan, UK and UAE.

Its Korean partner SPC Group is seeking to develop the “fine casual” market that combines reasonable prices and simple service with fine dining while seeking to reach 200 billion won (US$176.32 million) in turnover by 2025.
