‘거미 잡아먹는’ 신종 거미 발견

최근 새롭게 발견된 신종 거미 18종이 있다고 한 외신 매체가 16일 전했다.
해당 발견은 ZooKeys라는 동물학 저널에 지난주 발표됐다.
그 중 한 종은 ‘펠리칸 거미’라고 이름이 붙여졌다. 이유는 마치 펠리칸을 연상시키는 기다란 부리 모양의 얼굴을 가졌기 때문이다.
펠리칸 거미에는 ‘암설범 거미’라는 별칭이 붙었다.
이유는 다른 거미를 잡아먹기 때문이라고 매체는 전했다.
