Kevin of the Boyz surprised fans by dropping a song he wrote himself.

He put out “Rubber Boots,” his first self-written song, via SoundCloud late Thursday at midnight, according to his agency Cre.Ker Entertainment.

He invites listeners to dance together in the rain, adding the actual sound of rain dropping recorded while in Vancouver, British Columbia, to the house-R&B tune.

“The rat-a-tat rhythm from the rain and the raindrops sliding down the window expressed free spirits with music,” explained Kevin.

He also created the artwork for the cover of the song, in which a person wearing a pair of rubber boots and holding a folded umbrella seems ready to hop into puddles and strike a contrast with the yellow background.
