Enhypen will release its second EP, “Border: Carnival,” April 26, said agency Belief Lab on Friday.

It has been five months since the boy band came out with debut album “Border: Day One,” and the new EP has already sold over 400,000 units in the five days since preorders started.

The EP consists of six tracks that deal with the bandmates’ feelings about the unfamiliar and dazzling world they faced after their debut. “Drunk-Dazed” is a pop rock number that compares the experience to a chaotic carnival where rules are broken and the world seems upside down. Bang Sihyuk, head of Hybe -- the parent company of the band’s agency -- co-wrote the song with producer Wonderkid.

The seven-piece act sprang from an audition program and debuted in November last year. Its debut album sold over 310,000 units on the day of its release, and the band won two rookie awards within 40 days of its debut.

Seventeen unveiled all the songs from its upcoming Japanese record in advance and swept local music charts, according to label Pledis Entertainment on Friday.

The band is releasing its third Japanese record, the three-track “Hitorijyanai,” April 21 but the prereleased songs have already hogged positions No. 1 through 3 on major real-time charts. The title track landed at the top of iTunes’ K-pop charts in eight regions and its song charts in 10 regions.

With the title track, the bandmates send encouragement and motivation to young people who are at the starting line with their dreams, promising to meet their fans soon. The record also carries the Japanese versions of “Run to You” and “Home;Run.”

The 13-piece act has its own original reality show, and the new season started Wednesday. The musicians will meet their fans in Japan on April 27 via an online fan meet event and talk show.

The bandmates are appearing in a 12-part reality show, “Highlight With a Twist,” in which they take a camping trip for two nights and three days. The show started airing Friday.

BTS is preparing to drop a digital single May 21, according to a local media report.

There had been speculation that the band might release new music in May, but this time a specific date was added. Label Big Hit Music reiterated that it would announce the timeline once the artists’ schedules could be confirmed.

It has been about six months since BTS rolled out a new album around the world. “BE (Deluxe Edition)” came out in November last year, and BTS will release a best-of album in Japan in June.

The septet’s August 2020 digital single “Dynamite” was a megahit that made history by landing at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously, a feat achieved only by the band and Taylor Swift. It remained on the Hot 100 for a record 32 weeks and won the band a Grammy nomination as well as a standalone performance at the award show.
