MAP6 to perform at Festive Korea in HK

K-pop boy band MAP6 is heading to Hong Kong.

The group has been chosen to promote Korean goods at the Enjoy K-Style event at this year’s Festive Korea, which will run throughout October in Hong Kong, according to the band’s management agency DreamT Entertainment on Wednesday.

“We will do our best to spread knowledge about Korean culture and products in Hong Kong,” MAP6 said in a statement.

The boy band will be performing at D-Park shopping center Saturday and Sunday as part of the event.

Organized by the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, the sixth annual Festive Korea aims to serve as a “platform for the exchanging of two different cultures, enhancing the creativity of both Hong Kong and Korea and enriching the lives of both people,” according to Kim Kwang-dong, Consulate General of Korea in Hong Kong.

Actress Kim So-hyun has been selected as this year’s Celebrity Ambassador.

Minhyuk, J.Jun, Sign, Sun and J.Vin debuted last year as MAP6 with the album “Storm.” Most recently, the group released its second EP “Swagger Time” in May.
