Legendary idol group Sechs Kies will be holding its first concert in 16 years, according to management agency YG Entertainment on Monday.
The group had split up in 2000, but some members recently got back together.
Sechs Kies debuted in 1997 and returned to the spotlight earlier this year when it appeared on MBC’s show “Infinite Challenge” in April.

Since that appearance, the group’s members have been participating in other variety programs, including KBS’ “Happy Together,” JTBC’s “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” and MBC’s “Radio Star.”
According to an industry insider quoted in local media, all six of the group’s members -- Kang Sung-hoon, Eun Ji-won, Ko Ji-yong, Lee Jae-jin, Jang Su-won and Kim Jae-duk -- have agreed to resume activities as a group and release a new album following the concert.
The group’s members, except Ko, signed contracts with YG Entertainment. Nonetheless, there is still a chance that Ko will be able to contribute to Sechs Kies album recordings and performances, the entertainment agency said in May.
The two-day concert will take place at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul from Sept. 10-11.
