Singer Se7en has signed on with a major Japanese record label and is set to release a new album in July, three years after his last Japanese single “Arigato.”

The deal makes Se7en the first Korean artist to sign up with the Japanese label, which distributes records for big-name Japanese musicians, including boy band SMAP.

The singer further revealed at the press conference that he will be releasing a new song in Japan on July 7.

Se7en, who debuted in Japan with the single “Hiraki” in 2005, toured the country last October in a 10-year anniversary concert series. He debuted in Korea in 2003.
