Citibank Korea offers extra card benefits

Citibank Korea is to offer extra benefits to its customers this month, allowing them to use Citi points for an additional 10 percent discount on top of their year-end redemption limits at major affiliated shops and online malls.

The perk can be used at top merchants of various categories, such as seafood restaurant Todai for dining, GMarket, CJ Mall and Homeplus for online shopping, Bandi & Lunis for books, and Hana Tour and Walkerhill Duty Free Shop for travel.

Customers may use their Citi points for up to 10 percent off, in addition to their existing point redemption ratio, according to Citibank officials.

They may also expect a surprise price-cut deal in the Super Chance on Tuesday event, held every week at Citi Point Mall and Mobile Coupon Mall.

The weekly event offers the chance to purchase a Buffalo camping chair set for 37,500 won to the first 30 customers who pay with Citi points.

Those who pay with Citi Card without using their points will be given a discount of 75,000 won.

A Kraze Burger mobile gift certificate worth 20,000 won will accompany an additional 5,000 won coupon, when purchased through Citi points, officials said.

These points may also be exchanged for flight mileage, tax payments, donations or discounts at major merchants across the country, including GS Caltex, S-Oil, Hyundai Oilbank and movie theater CGV.

Further details of the event can be found on Citi Card’s website (www.citicard.co.kr).
