New BMWs to win motor lovers' hearts

BMW has long reigned in the country’s imported car market and is now gearing up to consolidate its status with four new models scheduled to be out starting September.

“Carmakers tend to upgrade their models on a regular basis, but this year is even more exciting with some of the best models being revamped or undergoing a full change,” a publicist for BMW Korea said.

The iconic sports sedan New BMW 3-series will be back in September with both sedan and wagon models.

The New BMW 3-series will be facilitated with newly designed full-LED headlights as well as LED taillights. The overall body has gotten leaner and sharper, the company said.

Four gasoline-powered and seven diesel-powered engines will be readily available with the option to add BMW xDrive, the permanent all-wheel drive system.

The BMW 7-series has represented idiosyncratic BMW luxury.

The premium sedan will be back in October with a lighter body, a dynamic driving experience, comfort, intellectual connectivity and operational simplicity.

Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic is used for the stern body. The executive drive proactive chassis system, a driving experience control switch and BMW laser lights will be included, on top of the plug-in hybrid system for the new 740e.

More are to come: the executive lounge with massaging and vitalizing programs, the sky-lounge panorama glass roof, the welcome-light carpet as well as a smartphone holder with a wireless charging function will come as options.

The iDrive system with a touch display and gesture control, alongside the touch command, the head-up display, the 3-D surround view display and a remote parking control programs are also add-on options.

The fully revamped BMW X1 will be introduced later this year with upgraded interior and exterior designs, four-wheel drive and a next-generation four-cylinder engine with 17 percent higher fuel efficiency over its predecessor.

MINI Clubman

The iconic MINI Clubman will be back with a 27-centimeter-longer body, electric parking system, a welcome-light carpet system and other options.

The signature split doors are still there, which can be remotely manipulated with the car key.
