International Policy Studies Institute publishes English-language journal

The International Policy Studies Institute published its first English-language journal, Korea Review, this month.

Founded in 1994, IPSI’s activities have focused on issues related to international peace and security, the Korea-U.S. alliance, and North Korea policies. It tailored the journal to be useful to a broad range of specialists and the general public as well.

The inaugural issue of the journal carries a special feature on major powers’ views of Korean unification with seven articles, including IPSI Chairman Han Sung-Joo’s “Division Management and Unification: Korea vs. Germany”; Trilateral Commission German Group Secretary General Bernhard May’s “Korean Unification: Stay the Course and be Patient!”; American University Professor Zhao Quansheng’s “China and Conflicts on the Korean Peninsula”; Kookmin University Professor Andrei Lankov and others’ “A North Korean City after the (unnoticed) End of Juche Socialism: Past and Present of the Hoeryong City Market”; and Center for U.S.-Korea Policy Director Scott Snyder’s “U.S. Views of Korean Reunification: Evolution and Prospects.”

Korea Review’s Volume I, Number 2, will be published in December. It will serve as a foundation for Korean unification diplomacy by laying out the advantages of Korean unification.

The journal is not available in bookstores or elsewhere as single copies. For subscription orders and inquiries, e-mail ipsikor@gmail.com, call (02) 3276-3751~2, or visit koreareview.org.
