Sedans used to be at the center of the automotive market. Today, the SUV has become the favored vehicle type as the leisure industry expands and people pursue diverse interests. Following this trend, Ssangyong Motor Co. has launched the new Korando C on Aug. 7 under the slogan of “Urban Adventure.”
The launch for the New Korando C was held at the Seoul Marina & Yacht Club in Yeouido, Seoul, and showed off the model’s features and advantages. At the launch event, a photo session was held for journalists while the Ssangyong Korando C community members and guests from other clubs gathered to share their experiences on water sports and urban adventure.
The new Korando C sports a strong and sophisticated style, accentuated by its large grille and large front panel LED lamps. The rear of the SUV also adopts a C-shaped light guide, which stresses the model’s unique identity. Its pronounced letterings and 18-inch wheels based on the advanced diamond cutting process represents the new Korando C’s lively dynamics.
One of the noticeable changes in the SUV is its markedly improved fuel economy. When eco mode is selected, the car’s optimized drive system has a fuel efficiency of 12.8 km per liter (two-wheel drive), which is a 8.4 percent improvement from its previous model. The manual transmission model (two-wheel drive) runs at 17.2 km per liter, the best among its competitors in the same category.
To celebrate the launch of the new Korando C, Ssangyong Motor Co. is now implementing various marketing programs. For a start, the company plans to invite customers to about 30 CGV theaters across the nation and hold launch events.
In addition, “New Korando C 2013 Exciting Driving School” will provide opportunities for customers to drive on the racing circuits and off-road routes at the Taebaek Racing Park.
