The Korea Foundation and the Sejong Center present the “KF Summer Concert for Foreign Residents 2012” at the Seoul Namsan Traditional Theater in Namsangol Hanok Village, from June 21-23.
Under the title “Beautiful Seoul, Amazing Korea,” this year’s concert features performances of traditional music and dance, hands-on experience programs and outdoor performances.
The event, which celebrates its 10th year anniversary, includes a variety of programs with traditional music and musical instruments such as pansori, gayageum and folk songs.
The first two days of the three-day concert will host performances by the traditional Korean music ensemble Rainbow Bridge along with Yejeon Dance Company. On the third day, the “Traditional Arts Market & Experience programs” will take place, which consist of activities such as Korean games, trying on traditional clothing and outdoor performances. In addition, there will be a flea market selling tradition musical instruments, clothes and food.
All events are free, but reservations must be made beforehand at the “Join the KFCC Events” board on the foundation’s website (www.kf.or.kr) for the performances on June 21 and 22. However, the programs on June 23 are open to public and reservations are not required.
