[Asian Games] Saudi Arabians in Korea, citizens, S-OIL employees root for Saudi Arabian athlete

Incheon, Oct. 1 -- About 100 Saudi Arabians living in Korea, Korean citizens and S-OIL employees rooted for a Saudi Arabian athlete in the final of the men's 200-meter race at the Incheon Asian Games held in the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Oct.1.

Fahhad Mohammed Alsubaie of Saudi Arabia won the silver medal in the race.

They cheered for him ardently, shouting his name. “Since the rankings can vary by 0.01 seconds, the runners seem to feel a heavy pressure,” said an S-OIL employee. “We are delighted that he reaped a good result in the race while S-OIL employees and Saudi Arabians rooted passionately for him together.”

S-OIL employees have rooted for Saudi players by visiting venues for major games, including football and athletics, during the Incheon Asian Games. The largest shareholder of S-OIL is Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
